First Baptist Church Long Prairie is blessed to have a staff who are truly dedicated to Christ and accomplishing His will.

Matt Stacey

Senior Pastor

Matt is married to Lori and has (are you ready for this?) TEN CHILDREN! Luke, Katie, Ted, Paul, Julianna, Jack, Dan, Emily, and the twins Rosie & Josie. Matt is the Lead Pastor at First Baptist church, and is responsible for overseeing the whole ministry with a personal emphasis on leadership and the leadership teams as well as his passion of teaching the Word. His desire is to see everyone grow in a Real Active Personal Relationship with the God of the Universe. Outside of family and ministry he enjoys coaching wrestling, wood working, esp. turning, IH Scouts, and the wild places of the world whether that is hiking, camping, photography, or following a bird dog through the fall cattails.

Josh Anderson

Connections Pastor

Josh and his wife Rachel joined the FBC family in 2023 through the merge with Reynolds Baptist, where Josh pastored for many years. They have three children: Isaiah (17), Annie (16), and Julia (13). Josh's ministry focuses on outreach, connections, and young adults. He is passionate about training and discipling believers how to live out and share their faith within the sphere of influence where God has placed them. Josh's ministry emphasizes investing in and building authentic relationships with Kingdom perspective. Outside of church, Josh spends his time going to his kids' sporting events, walking in the woods, spending quality time with friends and family, biking, and leading the Red Letter Band.

Administrator of Ministries

Katie is the Administrator of Ministries at First Baptist Church. She is responsible for equipping the church's ministries and managing the church office. Her desire is to tend to the details in a way that (1) engages the congregation with each other and (2) frees the pastoral staff to do ministry. Outside of work, she enjoys gardening, discipling, writing, reading, being with her family, and beading.

Harley Hollenbeck

Custodian

Harley is married to his lovely wife Kitie. Together they have five adult children and currently have nine grandchildren with another on the way! Harley works full-time at Cathedral Press here in Long Prairie, and considers himself self-employed here at the church where he performs janitorial duties as directed by the Trustee board. Harley considers it his mission to help provide a clean and appealing place for worship, as well as helping with community activities which the church opens its doors for in order to serve the greater community.
