Youth Ministry

Services

Worship Service Sunday @ 10:15 am (livestream available)

We Cherish Our Youth!

We want all of our youth to know and Follow Jesus Christ and to find their ultimate joy and satisfaction in Him.

We have designed our Youth Ministry to deepen understanding of the greatness of our God, and to give encouragement in the pursuit of godliness.

Upcoming Events

Throughout the year we schedule unique events with the purpose of providing a time and place for teenagers to play, grow, and serve. Some examples include camp retreats, concerts, bowling nights, youth conferences, Twins games, and much more! Check back here, and on our events page to see updates on any upcoming events for Youth at FBC.

Below you can find our current Fall Calendar for Youth Group. We hope to see you at one of our upcoming events/gatherings!

Weekly Youth Ministry Schedule

Sunday Morning

Sunday School - 9:00-9:50 AM

We have two Sunday School groups that meet Sunday mornings; Jr. High (7th and 8th grade), and Sr. High (9th-12th grade). All teenagers are welcome to join us! If you have any questions about how to find a room or anything else, just let us know!

Sunday Evenings

Youth Group - Ignite and Crossfire

6:00-8:00 PM

Ignite (Jr. High) and Crossfire (Sr. High) are our Sunday night Youth Groups for 7th grade through 12th grade. Sunday Nights we gather with two main goals: to grow in deep relationship, and to dive deep in God's Word. We do this through games, lessons, and small group time. We place a high value on our Youth Group having a culture that honor's God and looks for his glory in everything we do. Both Groups meet from 6:00-8:00 on Sunday Evenings.

Hangout Nights - 7:30-9:00 Wednesday Evenings

One Wednesday a month; we have a night to spend time with one another for ages 7th grade to 12th grade. Hangout Night is a time  where we simply have fun! Check out our current calendar to see when the next Hangout Night is taking place! Simply meet in the church gym at 7:30.

Youth Ministry in the summer

Summers are typically quite busy for teenagers. Many put more hours into work, go to camps, and head out on family vacations. But we still desire to keep connected with all our teenagers. Below are the ways in which we encourage our teenagers to stay involved and continue to grow!

Youth Missions trip

Every year we send a Youth Missions team on a trip to help support domestic and international ministries. If you have any questions about Youth Missions Trips and how to participate in one, please contact us!

Camp Lebanon

First Baptist Church Long Prairie partners together with Camp Lebanon, a Bible camp located on lovely Cedar Lake near Upsala, MN. We are dedicated to sending as many people to Camp Lebanon as possible, because we have seen how it can be "A Meeting Place with God" for so many people. Camp Lebanon is a great place for your teenagers to go and camp for a week. It is also a great place to work! If you have any questions about how to send your teenagers to Camp Lebanon, please contact us! If you have any questions about Camp Lebanon itself, feel free to visit their website by clicking here.

Safety & Volunteers

Safety is of utmost importance to the Youth Ministry of First Baptist Church. We provide safe, engaging environments. All our adult volunteers have gone through background checks to help protect your teenagers. Even more importantly, all of our volunteers are known personally by our staff and are held to a high standard of faith in word and deed. All our volunteers also participate in monthly meetings to refocus, and occasional training sessions to learn how to be the best leaders we can.

Our desire is to be a ministry whose parents are as involved as possible! If you are interested in joining our ministry, please contact our Student Ministry Pastor, Jackson Standafer.
